2026 Titan Takeover: Career Exploration Application

The purpose of the Titan Takeover: Career Exploration Program is to provide you with an opportunity to make a more informed decision regarding a career path that best fits your interests, passion, traits, and skills. The 2026 Titan Takeover: Career Exploration hybrid program will allow you to explore “what a day in the life of…” would look like in addition to receiving information and advice from career professionals.

The host list will indicate whether each host will be hosting virtually, in-person, or both. Please make sure your preferences between in-person or virtual meetings match with the organization's listed "Format" before indicating interest in being matched with them.

Process and Timeline

If you are interested in engaging in a Titan Takeover: Career Exploration experience you will fill out an application, and upon being accepted then you will be matched with a host based on interest and availability. In addition you be required to attend an orientation prior to your informational interview experience. You will be contacted once a match has been made with an organization and it is your responsibility to contact the host to confirm the date, time and location of the shadowing experience. You will complete a brief evaluation of the shadowing experience once it has been completed.

Application Deadline: Friday, February 6th at 11:59 PM
Students are notified of acceptance to the Titan Takeover Program: first week of March
The Titan Takeover experiences will take place during the month of April - Please note you will work with your host to determine a date/time that works best in April.

Host Responsibilities

Hosts are expected to introduce their profession, give an overview of the organization, answer questions and allow you to learn of their daily routine. The host will coordinate and implement the agenda for the day.

Student Responsibilities

While this experience is hybrid you are still expected to be on time, dress appropriately, research the organization and develop specific questions about the field that will contribute to your learning about the profession.
Students will be required to attend Titan Takeover: Career Exploration orientations where you will learn about the program, resources and useful tips to help you navigate Titan Takeover.

How to Participate

Fill out the Titan Takeover Student Application, being sure to only prioritize organizations in which you have sincere interest. Access Host list here
A member from the Career Center will contact you with further information regarding your career meeting placement.
Follow up with the employer to secure the time, date and location of the career meeting placement.

If unforeseen circumstances occur and I cannot participate in the job shadow program, I will notify my host and the Career Center as soon as I am aware. Withdrawal or cancellation without notification will result in a loss of eligibility for any future Titan Takeover: Career Exploration programs.
